Who We Are 

Gary Lee – Founder and Executive Director:

Born in Hong Kong, Gary developed a life passion for wines since the early 1990’s. Self-taught by reading books, attending wine courses and working in wine industry in Hong Kong, he had a breakthrough when attending a “Berlin Tastings” in Hong Kong and came across the following approach to wine: " Drink Blind and you will know what you really want”.  He has kept that motto in his mind since then.

He founded Bacchus Club in 1997. For the last 20 years, Gary's primary concern has always been, and will always be, the quality of the wine he imports in Hong Hong for his clients both professionals and privates. 

Julien Amoris – Partner and Purchasing Director

Born and Educated in France, Julien moved to Hong Kong in 2004   . For more than 13 years, he worked for local and international wines and spirits distribution companies in sales & marketing, purchasing functions. 

More than a career, Julien is a passionate wine lover first. Tired of over-priced, fame over-valued, marketing focused strategies at the cost over the wine quality, Julien joined the Bacchus Club in 2011. Bacchus Club values was the perfect environment to bring his wine sourcing talents and ambition in action, to create a portfolio that would give our client the “Wouah” every time. 

Today, Julien has returned to France with his family where he continues to seek the next wine to add to the Bacchus Club portfolio.
