Jeb Dunnuck Tasting Notes on previous vintage 2016: “ Plums, blackberries, licorice, hints of pepper and smoked herbs all emerge from this full bodied, fruit forward, beautifully textured Chateauneuf du Pape that has solid underlying structure “
Things you should know:
Jancis Robinson named Wine Maker Stephane Vedeau as the Best New Rhone Wine Maker. His Vendange 2013 will surprise you with a very different style Chateauneuf du Pape, more of a Burgundian approach with silkiness and finesse.
Our Tasting Notes on 2020:
“ Ruby Red. Black fruit note. Subtle oak. Nice black fruit with a medium body. Rich mineral. Smooth but with a tight grip on the palate. Steady long finish - not a bad sign for such a young Chateauneuf du Pape. There is greenish, slightly astringent on the final attack. Suggest to lay further for 1-2 years. “
Appellation: Châteauneuf-du-Pape
