Tasting Notes:
A dark purple color wine with bright purple rim. A complex, elegant but intense nose mixing aromas of dark & red ripen fruit, mineral, spices and herbs notes like rosemary, and hint of dark chocolate. A rich bodied wine with complex palate made up of concentrated ripen dark and red fruits. The acidity is present and lingering, bringing some lightness and texture to the concentrated fruit together with matured tannin. A long length ended with mineral and spice. This wine combines elegance yet also robust character at this stage, but without being overpowering, that requires patience to be appreciated and understood. A definite potential star that can be aged for 10+ years. Decant for 1-2 hours. To accompany red meat like lamb, beef grilled or in thick sauce.
Things you should know:
Jancis Robinson named Wine Maker Stephane Vedeau as the Best New Rhone Wine Maker. His Flagship " Capelan " will surprise you with a very different style Chateauneuf du Pape, more of a Burgundian approach with silkiness and finesse.
Limited stock from now. We managed to get few bottles directly from Chateau of this 2013 vintage. Possibly last lots to get in Hong Kong.
