Tasting Notes:
“ This Cahors carries well the nickname of the "Black wine". Dark black purple colour. A nose with concentrated jam, blackberries, black currant and wood, spices. The 2012 is a medium to full body wine. The rich, jammy, stewed fruits flavours are typical of Cahors. With hints of oak notes, it is well balanced by the noticeable but lingering acidity of Malbec, which brings freshness and aging potential. There is a dense carpet of grainy but silky tannin, softened by the wood aging. I had it with a Chinese dish - fried pork and lotus root - Beautiful!. The acidity of this wine will balance perfectly with rich and spicy meat dishes. Decant it for 120+ minutes. “
