Tasting Notes:
‘ The Rosé de Saignée has a deep ruby color resembling a red wine, with strawberry and raspberry flavors. Typical character of Pinot Meunier. Produced with old vines only - which is reflected with a higher degree of fruit concentration and intensity. Some might be puzzled by a special taste in a champagne: the tannin. It is a Bolder, Darker, and Stronger champagne that would raise your eyebrows. ‘
Things you should know:
The wine is produced by “ Saignee “ method - which consists of putting the MUST with red skin of the grapes in order to get the wanted color and flavor ( of red wine ). It gives the Champagne a bold and expressive character unlike traditional rose.
Rosé de Saignée is a single parcel cuvée with no blending - Mono parcel and mono cépage of 100% Pinot Meunier.
